Crazy in Love...still...

I'm still crazy in love with my locs. I've cut them, dyed them and style them. Some of the things have worked out and some haven't but the one thing I'm sure of is that these locks are one of the best choices I've made.

My blog is about as exciting as watching hair grow. You can go back to the start to see the journey but the best part is few bumps in the road. It's hard to convey the joy that I get from my low drama hair but I'm trying.  I was so inspired

by other's blogs that I started this just before getting locs and followed the journey. I hope this helps others who are considering it. I took pictures of them putting the locs in because those were the hardest pictures for me to find when I was trying to figure out how to get my locs just the way I wanted them.

Still in love!

In this world there are lots of things I'm ambivalent about. I'm not sure about peanut butter vs jelly and I'm not sure about chocolate vs vanilla but I am certain that I am crazy about my hair. A

I put it on rollers yesterday for about an hour and got under the dryer. By just rolling up the end I got some curls without much effort and that's what I'm all about being not much effort part!

I still love my locs.  I don't do much to them,I wash hem and  re-tighten them,  I love feeling pretty all the time. I love being carefree and weather resistant.

I had my locs cut last year. Just enough to get the really long ones. '

I don't have a better picture with my hair curled. I'll have to work on that.

Fall 2015

The best thing about the locs is that I can mostly forget about them.  My hair just looks great all the time. I'm happy. I have started putting the nappy locs tool on my keys so that I can do my hair where ever I am.  It has helped me keep up and I still do my own maintance.

I know. I'm a bad bad blogger but a woman stopping me to chit chat about hair in the grocery story reminded me that people really were interested and that this is a nicely hidden corner of the internet to share my hair journey.

I'm still not doing much. I'm still taking care of my hair the same, low stress way. I got a hair cut this summer because a few locs were crazy long. It was emotional but not really a big deal.

My daughter, my lost daughter wanted me to let it grow to my elbows so that's what I'm doing for now. It's easy to say in the winter and harder to say in the summer when it gets hot.

So this this is moi. I'll try to get a picture with some makeup on but this me me at 50, no makeup and nothing done to my hair -- I'll take it.

Post cut with curls.

Just a couple of pictures after I got my locks cut. she only cut a couple inches off, maybe a little more in the front but I think it looks prettier.

I went to a salon that cuts hair all the time, not a salon that does locks. I wanted a good hair cut and that's what I got, i'm pleased and I was afraid I would be crying.
